Ruth was a Scholarship Student – at the School of American Ballet under the direction of George Balanchine. She joined the New York City Ballet and Ballet Theater where she worked with Agnes De Mille, Jerome Robbins and Anthony Tudor. After Ballet her career took her to the world of Television where she assisted choreographer Ernest Flatt and worked for Tony Charmoli as well. Five years on the Garry Moore Show as a featured Dancer.
Ruth taught at The Harkness School in New York City, Imperial Studios in Palm Beach Florida and also taught many Broadway Show Dancers and stars including Sandy Duncan in New York City.
She choreographed Summer Theater including South Pacific, Song of Norway and danced the featured role in Brigadoon at the Starlight theater in Dallas. Ruth assisted Carol Haney on the Oldsmobile Show featuring Florence Henderson.
